The difference between a Thriller and a horror.
Thriller-
-A thriller has a more mature cast that are often highly regarded well known actors.
-The focus of a Thriller film is on the crime, who did it? Why? How?
-The lead role is often played by the detective and they are the protagonist.
-Victims of the crime are not always known to the viewer
Horror
-Young cast, often teenagers. stereotypical bimbo blonde cheerleader and the typical 'jock' have regular appearances in horror films.
-There is usually a lot of violence, with graphic images of blood and guts.
-the focus of the narrative is often the violence and not the crime.
-the lead victim often becomes the detective trying to work out who is killing everyone a all his or her friends are dying.
-It i usually set in a suburban setting
-Adults are always absent or not supportive. (They don't listen, or ignore the teenagers pleas as they don't believe them)
